On first glance, you wouldn't think the NoHo diner would bust out an epic tuna melt of this stature, but you will be wowed. This is the tuna melt that got me into tuna melts. It is served on sourdough with no vegetable frills. Its just tuna salad and cheese. The bread is always very buttery and toasted to a golden brown which is crispy and delicious. The accompanying french fries and cole slaw make a nice counterpoint. The tuna salad is always pleasantly warm and the cheese is melted perfectly. It isn't very messy to eat either, thanks to the crisp foundation of toasted bread, and the perfect amount of tuna added which minimizes spillage. This is the tuna melt by which all other tuna melts will be judged.

Dude,
Is this the blog of who I think it is? I think it is.
I just had a KILLER tuna melt at Smitty's, of all places. The filling was simple and rich, and it was grilled on a panini grill. I had it with onion strings and swooned into near cardiac arrest.
I'm looking forward to seeing where else you visit.
Thanks Christina. Yes, its is I. I will definitely be checking out that tuna melt as soon as possible. Thanks for reading.
